I am trying to determine why my roleplays are always inactive. Board after board, they all fail. And it's only making the situation WORSE. So, I will try to find out why, in questions.

Question 1 - Do they refuse just because it's different?

Are you talking about a board? Or just general Roleplays?

If they are not working for you, I suggest moving on to something else, like a hobby, for example. Personally i hate RPGs, so you only see me join them if im bored XD.

Fact, I know I need to find something interesting. Please just answer the questions. Or talk about that issue. I am not trying to force anybody, but by answering, it will help me to uncover why they always fail.

You shouldn't condemn things just because nobody plays them.

I am trying to uncover why my boards are failing.

I don't leave RPG boards because they are different, I just find them boring :/.

well RPG's are good if you manage to make a MUD or a proper system or even a half-decent MMORPG.

But the bog-standard RPG hack should stay in it's grave.

Actually, This investigation is geared towards those who actually play roleplays. If you don't like them, it doesn't pertain to you. But that doesn't mean you cannot answer.

Edit: Boring? That is a matter of opinion. Thus, this investigation does not pertain you you then. It's for those who play roleplays, and discovers why my ideas are failing.

Id' advise you going to a bigger anime board then, form what I know alot of people on her don't play RPG's.

oh, I have this debate going in other places too. It doesn't mean that It's not useful here. Perhaps an active roleplayer will help the situation. Please do not close.

Well...if you have something truly original, and well thought through, and makes good sense to everyone, it will be more than likely successful. Remember, very few forums are actually successful, so not having a great board isnt something that should stop you from trying again.

I suggest sitting in a lock'd room, with a pencil and a notepad, and think of something imaginative :P. And the most important thing is perseverence. If you dont keep trying, you will fail.

So........if solitary confinement helps you, use it :P

It depends what RPG you are trying to play.

Are you a D&D person because then you can use a dice roller code.

Or are you a spam to get stats person.

A strategy RPG.

Basically you need something that seperates yourself from other RPGs. A special system, php coding.

Post-based RPG's are boring but regular RPGs are. The only thing you can use an IF Forum for RPG is a discussion board for a created RPG.
