I haven't had the choice to do it yet, but i have heard of it. My cousin has done it.

Were trying to force our school to start doing it... All the Head's would allow it, SMT would allow it and Management would allow it.... it's just if the staff want to do it :/.

My sister did it when she was like 15-26 I think.. I didn't.. Simply because my school SUCKED :).

Definately do it though. If you have the opportunity to, snap it up! It's a once in a life time deal.

In the USA a big thing that can go on your Resume for College or a Job is your Scouting career. While I have never heard of the Duke of Edinburg Challenge, in Venture Scouts we do a similar thing. They have 3 ranks: Bronze, Gold, and Silver, in which you are trying to achieve within a certain catagory out of around 8 to select. We are going for the Ranger awarard which is a High-Adventure and Outdoors award...

My brothers working towards his Bronze award at the moment. He was a little aprehensive about doing it initially but hes really enjoying it now. I know loads of people who have done it. Ive never heard a negative comment towards it!
