I mean, death'll come soon enough, whether it's tomorrow or 80 years from now, so wh be obsessed with it?

Once again, stereotyped. How do you know that all goths think "omfg death rocks I wanna die"? Let me guess...your friends told you/you seen it on TV/heard it on the radio? Oh and...you know 1 goth?

News flash: there isn't 1 goth in the world, so you shouldn't say things like that. You have heard about or seen what one goth does...that doesn't make every other goth like him does it?

I never said there was one goth, and I wasn't implying it. I am just using him as an example.

Yes but using that 1 as an example said to me you based your decision on that...but still, not all goths are like that.

I know that  but that doesn't mean that everyone who wears black but isn't obsessed/interested in death is goth.

I'm becoming increasingly irritated with people ignorantantly dissing a culture they don't know anything about. :ermm:

Goths are fine I wear completely black almost everyday(but I'm not a goth)
"Thug" style is ok it doesn't bother me much.

What I hate is when people are like half a style like someone trying to be a thug by wearing extremly baggy pants with the back pockets at their knees but then wearing an extremely tight shirt or someone with died black hair white makeup black lipstick and those braclets with spikes trying to dress like a goth but then wearing a bright pink shirt....

well, in indiana chewing tobacco... its fashion!

but in the civilized and intelligent world, i hate the fishnet. im not hating on goths (actually kind of dig it, cept for the whole religious side, the music and clothes are cool) but around here all these indiana teens (an indiana teen is : white, brown hair, buzzcut, overweight) wearing black fishnet everywhere, listening to slipknot and good charlotte. im guessing a real goth would hate them just as much as i do?

*AgnosticAngel agrees with you 100% there.

Sad really. Research some Gothic history before you talk because it's really making people look ignorant.

It's fine to say you don't like it when people wear all black, that's personal preference on a fashion trend. But to judge a whole group of people based on stereotypes like that just reaks of ignorance :/ Not to mention it isn't a fashion trend but an entire culture.

Fashion trend I dislike: The baby blues and light pinks. I don't see them as much now that it's winter...but ugh reminds me of baby clothes.

Then again, I'm one of those black clothing lovers (no that doesn't mean goth). Should see me today, black sweater, black skirt with red panel in the front covered with black lace, black knee high boots, black lace tights, black coat+black scarf :) It's what I feel most comfortable in.

He claims to be doing to fingering for "Raining Blood" on a coke bottle, and I'm thinking WTF? WTF WTF WTF WTF. And why would you want to listen to a song like that?

Wow...that was a stupid comment. I mean, I can't even express the stupidity of it. Why would he listen to it? Because he likes it, duh. Don't be a moron. And plus, I doubt you've even heard that song. It's by Slayer, if you care to know, and it is a great song.

Oh and btw, as Sheex said, gothdom is a culture, not a fashion trend, so if you comment saying you hate it you're spamming.

Doesn't mispelling "reek" reek of ignorance? I'm not trying to flame or anything, but that's kinda funny :clown:

And it's not the song, it's just that he claims to be doing it, and is doing totally random things. Now I'm being a moron, so I'll step out of this topic.

I'm not claiming to know anything about spelling, that simply says I'm not the best when it comes to spelling. I'm not claiming to understand a culture and spouting stereotypes as facts <_<

we will settle this in the only civilized way left...
first one to spit tobacco juice into the opponents eye wins...

but really, how many "goths" do you think are really into gothdom? worshiping the darkness and whatnot (im not going to try to pretend like i understand it...) and how many do you figure just wear the balck and all to just to get a reaction?
