By spam, I mean constantly doubling posting, when the edit button is right there, posting up useless posts like "okay", and such. What do you think, I want some views on it :r And I don't mean it makes it suck, just look bad... if you still don't understand what I'm meaning, ask meh :)

Depends on the topic, and what the spam is directed towards.

That one guy
I voted yes. It conveys an overall atmosphere of immaturity and unprofessionalism. I believe that double posting can be fine in some circumstances, but when you are making completely pointless posts constantly, then that is wrong.

SPAM:

Stupid
Pointless
Annoying
Messages.

I see no problem with double posting as long as it isn't to bump or anything, like "Okay." "Can somebody help?" But if it's like "Okay I will fix that!" "OKay, it's done."

It seems fine.

I think it depends on the board. If ALL spam is tolerated, I think it makes the board look unprofessional, unorganized, out of control, and just plain bad. However, if every once in a while a double post pops up, or a funny post that wasn't really needed in the topic, then it's fine.

If you post twice then the person will see you made a new post and check it again. If edited then people will think it's the same post.

Point, but couldn't you do something like:

Quote:

EDIT: Okay, it's fixed

? :geek:

Well, in case of telling members that a bug is fixed or something, I guess it's okay. But if someone were to post something like...:

Ist Post:
Quote:

I like Linkin Park

and then say...

Second Post:
Quote:

Oh wait... they suck

I'm talking about things like that...
