I've not heard of such a thing. Besides, not only would it be unfair, I doubt it would be passed for that very reason. I'm almost sure someone would be able to fight and win against such a law if it ever were passed, anyways.

Pff. That would suck. I've had mine for over a year now though so it's ok.

If that is a law, then why would some high schools still offer driver's education classes to sophomores, who are close to turning age 16 (which is the youngest that someone can get a license in most states)?

Because you can take dirvers ed at 16 you just cant have your licence till your 18. It gives you 2 years of practice before you get your licence...

we don't have that, just an "Intermediate" license that is about the same as a permit in rules and stuff, but no parents are needed to be with you

Mr. President please understand, it really is that bad.

I live in Texas and got my permit at 15. After 6 months I got my license (correct spelling) but it had restrictions. No driving after midnight was the main one and something to do with glasses, but I don't wear glasses so it didn't pertain to me. The restrictions were lifted on my 18th birthday which was last month, so I've been driving since 15, but now I can "legally" drive after midnight. It never stopped me because the chances of me getting caught were slim.
