I don't think that the Skin Zone is too strict at all. Mind you, I'm rather new, but even so I've read rules and such. The only rule that I see as stricter than those I've seen on other communities I belong to is the advertisement rule. Then again, spammers are tricky and that rule is definitely for the best of the skin zone.

I offer you this advice, which not only applies to the Skin Zone but to most other online communities I've been on as well as those I run myself:

  • Comments and reviews can only be given to something that can be seen, read, heard, or otherwise experienced with one or any combination of the senses.

  • Critiques and the like are solely the beliefs of the person or persons offering them and not necessarily anyone or everyone else. It is advisable to take all critiques well and bite your tongue when you feel the impulse to flame. It's inevitable that there will be critics; provoking them can get nasty and might earn you a bad reputation.

  • Just as in the real world, the online world has it's idiots, smart people, smart alects, bullies, geeks, freaks, weirdos, strict people, and people that just don't care at all. There's not much that can be done about this by these people's peers and/or underlings, so it's necessary for you to simply go on about your life and accept these people's attitudes as they are. Sure, there are strict people on the Skin Zone, but can you honestly name one well-known community that doesn't have at least one semi-strict person in it?

  • Good grammar and spelling make a world of difference. If you want your views to be taken seriously, try your best. Nobody's perfect (unless they type in Word), so just be careful not obsessive.

That's all that I can think of for now. I'm not accusing you of anything, simply stating a few things I've learned in my days of being a newb/n00b/newbie (different sites tend to have called me different things). I hope you don't think I'm boring you to death or trying to be strict. I'm simply trying to be nice and helpful as well.
