Um... well, here are some images with the DS and PSP together without all the digitally enhaced images in the commercials and sites  .

Here's an image of the DS and PSP with the power off: Posted Image

The DS is mine, while the PSP belongs to my friend  .

I just wanted you guys who don't have either one yet to know how it looks like in real-life; and maybe it'll help you to decide which one you'll root for :) .

I like both. It seem as though, phyrro, your first post was very lop-sided and only mentioned bad things about the PSP. Even the DS is gimmiky. I think they are both good. They each have thier own special factors that some people might perfer over other ones. In your first post, you showed a picture of a UMD disk flying out of a PSP. Sony has already said that the image is a fake, and the PSP used was sped up to the speed of 1500 RPM ( over 100 times what it will be at when running with all the features turned on.) So that is a flat out lie. I have both, I would say I am impressed by the PSP more than the DS. For me, the amount of things I can do with the PSP ( DVD quality movies, music, better graphics, very nice interface etc ) I am disapointed with the launch line for the DS. None of the games nintendo released show the full power of the DS. So I will wait for a final verdict once some better games come out for the DS.

Overall, I will say get both, but if you want more of a media system with games and internet, get the PSP. Want stylus metroid prime action? Get the DS. You really should do some research before buying one, to see which of the two you like best, and best suit your needs.

It all boils down to preference. This argument is starting to just turn into people trying to change mines. I know I love my DS and thats all that matters ;)

I agree. This argument is getting stupid with people popping up out of nowhere going "PSP rules!!1!1!" and "GO DS!!121@3"

^You mean like me :P

Well anyhoo/way/how

The only reason I would get the PSP......no wait....I'd never buy the PSP...but the only reason i could see people getting the PSP is for its "features". The DS IMO offers alot more in Gaming. Which is what Handhelds should do.

Yeah, the thing I love about my DS is no gimmicks. I don't even know where Jayster got that. The only features of the DS are touch-screen, microphone and PictoChat. Touch-screen and microphone intertwine with the games, and PictoChat can be used to set up times and rooms for wireles smultiplayer etc.

IMO, I think the touch screen and microphone thing are gimmiky. I find that true for most devices.

Have you played the DS? I'm assuming you haven't if you take those as gimmicks. Gimmicks are things unrelated to the purpose thrown in for value.

I'm playing Yoshi Touch & Go, and the touch screen is far from gimmickness. In fact, it's the entire controls.
