Oh, and also today I test runned Tony Hawk Underground 2 on my friends PSP, and the graphics are phenomenal (almost same as PC), better than any DS game I've seen. |

That's cool. I've always thought the whole THUG franchise was gay and crappy, so that doesn't affect me (but that's just me). |

So did I, Tony Hawk games are getting utterly boring. Nothing more then the same thing, over...and over...and over.....and sometimes with a bad storyline to make it sound good. |

bleh... the fact that I can control a skateboarder in real time 3D with realistic physics appeals to me more than any DS game. |

Well then that's good for you. The fact that I can play my favorite characters with my fingers and nothing else appeals to me more than some drunken idiot skateboarding around trying to set fire to buildings and destroy stuff. I guess it's called creative interests.

Well, I found this compiled list of problems the PSP has. Now I'm not going to guarentee that they are true or not, but just look at it for yourself. stolen from HL ![]() The picture shown above is color coded and coordinated with the problems listed below. BLUE shows the two buttons that will not perform as well as the rest. ‘There is nothing that can be done about this, because of their proximity to the screen they have slower response and may get stuck. There is nothing that we [Sony] will do about this in the foreseeable future, designers and gamers will have to work around this feature of the Sony PlayStation Portable.’ Sony will not replace your system for free if your buttons get stuck. If this does happen to you you’re like the 7/10 Japanese PSP owners who are experiencing the same issue. BLACK (arrow) shows the battery. If you are one of the lucky people who gets a faulty battery. You are amongst approximately 1/5 of PSP owners and should take precautions such as are recommended by Sony. These include ‘…not abruptly moving the Sony PSP while it is in use, not using…[it] for extended periods of time, following charging instructions as directed in…manual.” Don’t worry, if your battery is faulty all that will probably happen is that it will explode or discolor your screen…in which case your warranty is voided. Note: ‘…Although the battery design will not change, the [respective] warranty coverage may prior to a stateside release of the Sony PSP…although it is not likely.’ GREEN outlines the areas of the screen that are most likely to become discolored or to have pixels die. Sure it is only 1/18 individuals that experience this problem but at least it isn’t covered in the limited warranty…oh wait that’s a bad thing. Um, I guess be jealous of the Nintendo DS owners because Nintendo will pick up their faulty system and ship them a brand new one for free. (There is a second spot, but I can't remember where it is) YELLOW shows the joystick which may be ‘stumpy, located strangely…, and hard to get used to’ but at least it will last you an average of just under 30 hours. In all seriousness that is a lot of time. It will allow you to get you through what, two really short RPGs which is definitely worth the price of $185 to $200. RED all the buttons across the bottom that are likely to ‘malfunction, respond irregularly, or not at all’ on some consoles after minimal use. Some good news, this IS covered by Sony for the first thirty days after the purchase of the hardware. PURPLE shows the left trigger button. Although there is no official reason why this is an issue; in optimal conditions your “L” button may be less sensitive than the “R” button. In other situations it may be significantly more responsive. At this time Sony would ‘prefer not to comment on the matter nor the manufacturing process…’ Which made me wonder, “Why would he mention the manufacturing process at a time like this?” I found out, ‘The sensitivity of the shoulder buttons on the Sony…[PSP] may be directly related to the discrepancies in the manufacturing methods and locations used produce new units.’ ___________________________________________________ BucklingLeader posted that on another board. Whether he wrote it or not is open to interpretation LOL ![]() I personally have played both, and both have some great features. I look at the past though. Think of the competition Game Boy had with the Game Gear. You know, the game boy survived, but the gear died off. Why? Because of it's poor battery life. I mean, think about it, color screen versus green/black uglyness? the green/black uglyness won though. Games don't always make a system, it's the system's friendlyness that win out |

Wow, and I thofuth they already made things better to watch DVDs on, to play mp3s on, to surf the net and download things on, with much better graphics, it's called a LAPTOP  How come Nintendo Fanboys exist? But yet there is no such thing as a Sony Fanboy? Are they so blind htey can't even realise they are Sony Fanboys? I mean at least Nintendo Fans admit it... (not takling about anyone specifically). |
