battery life for a DVD movie on that thing is 2 hours.
If nintendo does like they did with the GBA, you may see movies for both their systems. (Since the DS has GBA capabilitys)

Well, let me ask this about DS followers: What about the PSP's games dont you like? Because many of them are the same on the DS, albeit, better graphics.

What about Solid Snake, THUG 2, and every other game dont you like?

Are they too mature for you? I can understand if you like kid oriented games more, but I just find some of those games too... kid.

I actually think some of the PSP's games look pretty cool. Some. As in two. MGS looks good, although I think the card thing is bizzare and unneccessary. THUG 2 is for THUGS, and I've hated every game in the THUG series. Lumines looks like a great game that I'd get for sure if I had a PSP, and chances are I'll get one when I get another $190.

"Are they too mature for you?" Lmao. Are you mature enough for them? No, lime, they are not too mature for me. I like Lumines and I like MGS, and those are the only games that fit my personal preferences. Why? Well, I'm an Epic, an RPG fanatic. I like only RPG's and games from other categories that are so outstanding that they are worth owning anyway.

I don't even feel like reading your posts anymore, because all you talk or care about is graphics, which is about 1/10 of what the entire package amounts up to when you're looking at every aspect of a game. But then again, you're probably not a big enough gamer to really know much other than the graphics (I could be wrong and you could just be actually dumb enough to be a graphics money; I dunno).

(U said u wanted no gimmicks included in our opinion, yet, the topic title is still DS vs. PSP... and if a gimmick means a special little add on then why did you include picto chat in your list of cons for the DS? No offense intended towards you but I think you post sounded a little biased, it could just be me. )

And, I prefer both. They each have their own pro's and cons. I love the touch screen on the DS but I hate the memory cards on the PSP... but PSP Games > DS Games any day, and the PSP is totally different IMO because it has so many included features or 'gimmicks' as you call them. it's more of an entertainment system in your hand than a gaming device IMO...

Well thank you for your response.

And I'll be brief, the only reason I leave gameplay, replay value, or storyline out of it is because it really is impossible to rate those.

And you're right, I'm not a gamer, I barely play video games at all. So consider my opinion as a purely un-trained first glance consensus.

Lawl. Were you being sarcastic when you said thanks for the response?

I don't think it's impossible to rate those...well, I mean, it depends. You can rate Gameplay by looking at how easy it is to play the game and how well the controls flow. Replay Value is just how much fun it is to play repetitively and storyline is how buff and flowing and entrancing the story is. :P

Sorry for kinda jumping on you about the gamer thing. I didn't mean it. :o

Phyrro, you are making a very cleaver arguement.
This whole topic is a very good debate, it's been very interesting so far.
But the DS is still ahead by one vote. B)

I hate the PSP because it is a WASTE of my money. I own a PS2 and half the games for it are randomized violent games. Which no doubt the PSP will have. I played GTA3, GOOD GAME! I played GTA VC, HORRIBLE GAME! After GTA VC, I got tired of randomized violent no storylined pointless hooker,ho,dirty, prosititute games. I prefer games that go bit further then Graphics. I like Gameplay, over graphics. Thats why Super Mario Bros is my favorite game to this day! Dont say it has no storyline, it has a great storyline! (Super Mario Bros for the NES, the first one) The gameplay on Super Mario Bros is the best I've ever experienced, and the graphics arent bad either. Now adays thats all people care about. Graphics, wow, amazing, who ****ing cares? No wait, over half the population of gamers are blinded by graphics. Thats why games like GTA VC sale. Nintendo games ALWAYS offer a good amount of Gameplay, Storyline, ReplayValue-much more. I'm not saying that ALL PS2 games are bad, but the fact is that the majority of it is. I'm also not saying that all of Nintendo Games are the best, I realize that some arent good.

Before you go saying "OH MY GOD0rZ NINTENDO FANBOYR!", why is it that I cant just be a gamer who has a good taste in games?

And why is Nintendo called kiddy all the time? It makes no sense, yes I realize that Nintendo does make games for younger audiences, but that doesnt make them kiddie. For instance, SSBM (super smash bros melee) isnt a kiddie game, adults can play SSBM and enjoy it probably much more then Kids could. But kids CAN play the game.

At this point in time, Sony and XFanboys only call Nintendo Kiddie because its the only insult they can think of. Whenever I debate with other Sony and X fans, the FIRST thing they say is "NintendoDaKidties!".

My hands hurt.

I think you coulda said that a little calmer, but the kiddie comment is a good point.

People focus on calling some games kiddie (when some are) and forget all of the great games like Star Fox Assault, Metroid Prime 2, Super Smash Brothers Melee, Sonic, and Mario Kart.

Even though Sonic and Mario Kart are rated E they're fun and for all ages. SFA and MP2 are two of the greatest games I've ever played. Fun, great storyline. SSBM is for everyone who likes beating up on other people.
