I'm laughing at both Casey and Zabusa. I apologize to Sony for ruining your view of what gaming really is. I guess me, Ghetto, and Rowain are the only true gamers left in the world that want to game and not game for a few minutes and then fall in love with desperate features (I prefer the term gimmicks).

Acdtually sitekk, the disks do look like that, they're called UMD's.

Actually, accuser, no I didn't. I got it from a guy on the official Nintendo boards.

@ newmain: yes, they are round and roughly the size of a GameCube game, called UMD disks.

I wouldn't want to buy nearly $100 for a 1 gb memory card.

But I don't want to buy a handheld at all. I can wait until I get to my room to play video games.

Still! Hotlinker! ;) :P

Anyway, the PSP could get one of those internet booths, where you can battle with people from feet away from you.

I'll take a picture of my disc, its different, theres like a case on it, and on that one.. its just plain open.

I know there's a case on it, I've seen the advertisements for Sony's pathetic "Value Packs."

I understand what you're trying to tell me. I'm just saying that that is in fact how the UMD's look.

Agreed :/

Let me explain why the features aren't as good as you think.

Movies- Okay, so the PSP has what, like 1 good movie out now? And I don't see a large line up of these coming either. Seondly, I don't want to be hunched over to watch a movie on a 3 inch screen. I will take my laptop or Xbox to watch DVD's. When I have a 50 Inch LCD Screen, the PSP is nothing. Even to a laptop, the PSP's screen is nothing.

MP3- Overrated. Unless you want to shell out another 100 bucks to get a big memory card it is pointless. For 50 bucks more you can get a 4Gb iPod Mini which owns the PSP in all MP3 aspects.

Wireless- Don't have a router? Well, get ready to shell out around 70 bucks for one. Then remember you will need a Wireless card for your PC and anything else in your house that runs off of your internet. Networking troubles? Prepare for another 150 dollars to get an installation guy to help out.

So here we are:

280 Dollars for Basic PSP
100 Dollars for some games
200 Dollars for Wireless
100 Dollars for 1 Gb Card

680 Dollars for a decent system.

Compared to 150 for a DS? I will take my money and use it for better things.

Don't try be a know-it-all on games. I have an extensive collection on Sony's and Nintendo's work.

Are to explain the "True Gamers" term to me then?

Calm down, people, it's not like it's war or something. Just a handheld console.
You want a portable console with a huge launch line, great graphics, ability to store more MP3s than an iPod and the ability to play movies, as well as e-mail, messenger, and word processing? It's out already. It's called a laptop.

Remember: God hates console fanboys.
