I heard on the news the other day that there is a virus for cell phones that is going around that drains all of your battery power in like a few seconds. It also sends it to everyone in your address book in the form of a text message. It also goes along with all of the text messages/pictures you send. (Don't ask me how you could send one if your batteries out though ).

Cell phone virus? I don't really think that's possible unlesss it's this massive thing that usues too much energy. If it's sent in a message you can just delete it...

There has been one form of mobile phone virus around for at least a year, but it is practically harmless, and designed mainly to show the weaknesses in mobile phones.

Obviously some people are out to exploit the weaknesses now :@. We're gonna need a mobile phone firewall soon :/.

It says it is from one of your friends though, so unless you call them and ask before you open it, you're toast.

Not sure. The stupid news people didn't really say... :@

I'll check in to it though.

EDIT: Heres an article I found on it: http://www.eweek.com/article2/0,1759,1773580,00.asp

And it does say it targets Nokias specifically.

I don't doubt it, with all of our advancements in technology there are bound to be downsides like this. ;)

C++, that's what all (from what I know) Cell phones are programmed with.

Not really, if the virus constantly does stuff on your cell phone, that's the same thing as using your cell phone yourself.
