If you all remove all the spam from above to let comments be posted on this post then here is what I think:

MyTopix – Forum System
This forum system looks prety poor! I see nothing special about it that makes it better than Invision - though i think it might beat PhpBB.

Open Office – Office Suite
Yeah, I have tried this before - it is 100% free to download and use but when it comes to userfreindly that speeds up the creation of reports and documents i am afraid to say i have to defend MSOffice - well microsoft did make the best invention yet (most people take it for granted) - the "Notepad" - with it you can program in a tonn of languages. More about this later.

Opera – Web Browser
Yep, I have this installed at the moment - I am even using it right now to write this message. I like it because i have 3 layers of different web pages open (about 25 different addresses) in the same browser (tabbed browsing).

Firefox – Web Browser
Yep, I like this browser - though you do need to download a fair few modifications to make it act how you want it to. I am using this for web pages that opera cant open - eg gmail.

Thunderbird – Email Client
I have heard of it but I prefer webmail clients eg:
Horde
Squirrlemail
NeoMail
etc.

gAIM – Instant Messenger
I guess this is either for AIM or annother version of trillian that does all of the major ones. - Well you can keep it as i can cope with a few of the others like MSN, YIM and AIM all open - though they are slightly slow at running!

You have some of the worst opinions possible :haha: .

I told KoolDrew on MSn why I think MyTopix sucks, I'm not used to it... If I got used to it I would probaly be fine with it, but I'm not. Nearly everywher I go I see a variant of vB or IPB, I hardly ever see anything "different" that's probably why I think it sucks.

They can never be considered as a bad opinion because everyone is unique - so am I :P. I like what is easy to use - though I always push myself to the limits of learning computing. The point where i lose my temper with some software that I cant work out then spend the next week (after sleeping on any problem - always the best way to solve it) workin it out!

Maybe you don't understand, this is ALTERNITIVE and FREE software. Even thoguh I think it's best, I'm not here to express it, I'm here to let you know what you can have for FREE. Not to buy vB or IPB, not to buy MS Office, to have good products for free. We can save the forum wars for another topic.

Opera
Most people use Internet Explorer, bad idea! Internet Explorer is buggy, insecure, slow, and featureless. If you truly want a great Internet experience, you need Opera. Opera includes tabbed browsing, a built in IRC client, email client, and more. It's proven to be the fastest loading web browser, and its render engine is in a far lead above all others. It complies strictly with web coding standards. Only one downfall passes over Opera, its free version sports built in advertisements, which aren't really a big deal. The ads are about 10-15 pixels high, the size of another tool bar, you barely even notice them!
Link: http://www.opera.com

Just to let you all know, Opera is missing a feature which will be needed in future IPB releases. Firefox supports it.

I bet you have used MyTopix then right? You have installed it and tested everything out?

Also why are you comparing OpenOffice and MSOffice? OpenOffice is free. MSOffice is not. I have been using MS Office for quite some time now so I didn't like Open Office, but that is because I was used to Microsoft Office. When I ddi try Openoffice though it did have a lot of nice feutures that MS's do not have.

The office suite is about preference and money. I can't afford MS Office (couldn't run it anyway, I use Linux), and I know OOo better than MS Office, so to me it's better.

And who cares about IPB again,\? MyTopix is a free and better alternitive :D
