Something To Think About...

A waste of everything you hoped for.

I know some of you aren't still in school, and that is great (or is it?) and so this doesn't really apply to you. (Though you can still reply.)

Anyway, my thought is: do you ever think about what will happen to your friendships and people you know really well, after school? Just thinking about this makes me pretty sad.

I mean, you can't possibly keep in touch with every single one of your school friends you had when you have a job, possibly a family...and a life. I guess the best way not to think about this, for me, is that I just have as much fun with the people I care about and try to talk to them all every single day.

What about you?

I'm a very hard person to get close to, I don't have many close friends, but the ones I have are like siblings to me. I plan to keep in conact with them as long as I can, but I think I'll mainly just make new friends once college comes and I move on with my career. College isn't for another couple of years though, so I'll have my fun while I'm still in HS ;)

Just try and keep in touch with your friends but don't dwell on it, lifes too short...when I moved back to my home town after being down south for 9 years I started bumping into old friends and went to a reunion last year..was good and you will find that some move on but don't let it get ya down. Its not the end of the world and you may see them again, you may not but be cool and just enjoy what time you do have with them. They may be thinking the same as you btw :)

I good perspective Myr. I guess I'll be somewhat the same with the making of new friends part. Though if I have maybe a friend that's interested in the same career as myself, then I may try to stick with 'em.

I've thought about it some. Some of my friends are in my "band" (garage stage) and if that lasts, we'd almost definately keep in touch.

I only have 3 or 4 friends that weren't from elementary school, so I've known most of my friends for at least 6 years, so we'll probably keep in touch.

Although, maybe I will see some of my childhood friends when I'm older just shopping or something.

I mean, some days my dad has come home and said he had a good chat with someone he knew in high school. :)

I don't have many close friends anyway, I keep myself to myself, I really only have about 5 close friends, I'm a very judgemental person, so its hard to gain my trust, my first impression of most people is "Attention money/ Arse/ idiot/something along those lines" therefore, theres not many people I actully like, so I think there will be no problem, there will only be a few people I want to keep in touch with, I'd rather go out and meet other people, I already have all my close friends emails/msn addresses. So I have no worries, I'm looking forward to leaving all those morons in my school behind and moving on to better things personally.

I think I will be with most of my friends until university, but I'll still keep contact with them, and you always make new friends. But I'm planning to live in the area I live in now when I'm older, and so do most of my friends so that should be ok.

When I went from Primary School to Secondary School I was upset. I got everyones contact details. When I started Secondary School I made loads of friends, so I really couldn't be bothered to keep in contact with my old mates. I'm fine with how it is.

Like poppy said, life is too short to worry about things like that.
