You guys, just stop it. I know I ain't a staff member, but you people that argue don't seem to be mature in any way. If you don't want us to talk about you and Andrew, then simply state why in a calm way. Instead of being rude and getting off topic and such. Why can't you take such things and just ignore it? I try to do the same things. But you are 28 years old. Try to actually take something and to actually see that this is just a debate, not a place where we argue.

Dont even start, and I believe this is on topic plus I couldnt care for anything you have to say ;)

You should care.....for what she is saying is 110% Correct.

I agree. People shouldn't argue over a simple topic.

Then why should we not feel the same? That was a truly ignorant post in it's own right.

Casey actually made a good point or two, and i don't feel it's right to dismiss any post that has been put together with any intelligent thought.

That's a bit mean, don't you think? She was just trying to show you that you don't need to make such a big deal of this, because it's not important.

In my honest opinion, internet relationships are NOT the way to go. If you really like each other, than you should move to the persons town.

It's a test of love.

And Clair, no offense, but that was truly ignorant. :/

You guys must not know how she feels, she's insulted by this topic and hte comments made here. As am I, that's why I'm refraining from posting much. Put yourself in her shoes one day and maybe you'll understand. Love is a touchy topic, and everyone is easily offended regarding it.

Clair this was never about you in the first place. But you seem to have turned this discussion into a discussion about you and Andrew. You are not the first people to have an internet relationship, and to be honest, I'd expect a more mature attitude to a discussion about a growing aspect of society from yourself. You have ruined the debate for everyone else, it had a potential to be a good debate. You keep saying that you are 28, please act like it. I really expected more of a mature and responsible way of dealing with this type of discussion from you.

Wow, Clair is getting all the attention. Maybe we should focus more on topic rather than everyone repeating the same thing.

Internet relationships are just...well, weird. That is to say that you probably haven't seen each other or talked to each other in person.

I mean, if you both have microphones and a webcam and talk over msn or what-not, then that's a bit better but still odd.

Ditto. It's just weird. Whats the point of it. Nothing. :r

It's not hard to see how she feels, and the reason behind it. The problem lies in why she lashed out, rather than calmly tell us what she was feeling. If she had done that, I highly doubt this topic would have gotten as blown out of proportion as it has.

Agreed. If Clair had actually stated why she felt this topic was a personal attack, I might have actually been inclined to have supported action to deal with it.

Now, can we please get back on topic?

Here, let me help straighten this out.

This topic is about online relationships. Clair, being involved in one, felt insulted. As a result the whole topic has become about her.

I didn't see this happen with the debates dealing with gay rights and such and there are several openly gay members here.

Bottom line: It's just a topic; get over it. Please, for the love of all things sane, no more posts dealing with Claire and Andrew. :arr:

I think that it might possibly be reasonable that if you have a relationship over the internet, you actually care for that person. Therefore you will want to meet them. Then that couple might set-up a time and place to meet each other, and if it's true love, they'll still love each other no matter what.

But having a relationship where you don't see each other until your wedding day is plain ludacrous >_>

Now...let's stay on topic, shall we?

Please, and due to Andrew being a sensitive admin, I refrained myself from posting in this topic much for I fear being banned.
