One reason is why I use Firefox over IE is because it actually renders pages correctly, unlike IE who makes pages look like utter crap (that's why there are IE and Mozilla versions on websites).

I've never understood this comment. Every page I've gone onto in IE has been fine, not a problem with the way the site is displayed, in Firefox I have had a couple of sites where the layout doesn't look right and looks crap.

Helen

Well, on my site, IE was the one causing all the trouble. I was trying to use tables, and on FF it looked great, but on IE all the images were out of place. I had to use iframes because of IE.

Well, the reason why I said that is because IE has a weird way of displaying markup because it had bad programming in the rendering section.

kkid136's problem with IE is what the result is from IE's horrible rendering.

the best

You just wait until IE 7.0, then firefox is in alot of trouble, IE 7.0 will have all that FF has now, and much, much more, then FF will be in real trouble.

IE 7 is going to be the same crappy browser with horrible security and bad rendering, only now dressed in cheap armour.

My god.. we already know EVERYTHING IE can do and EVERYTHING Firefox can do and EVERYTHING Opera can do. Just look back at the 200 topics! For the last time, in the end, it all comes down to personal preference, if someone uses a browser you don't like, who cares, it's not like you're using it!

Edit: And I think that article is very good news. :)

FF is slower than IE. Therefore its FF, not my IP.

Anyhow....back on subject. :r

Right now FF is better than IE in almost every way. One thing I don't like about FF is it doesn't have compatability with filters, like the glow() and focus() and that stuff. I mainly use FF for it's free extensions and the tabbed browsing. Also for the little things like that bookmark bar thing and the search in the corner, and yeah.

Once IE 7 comes out...well I don't expect too much from Microsoft, but I think it will be better than FF. Then again, they will make the same mistake again and FF will come out with new features and this will start all over again. :)

The blue 'e' letter is Internet Explorer isn't it? If so then I have been using IE for the last 5/6 years.
