Why my DVD won't burn

Now this just blows. I have a collection of America's Funniest Home Videos from when Bob Saget was hosting the show and they had the sound effects and everything. But when I try to put it on a DVD-R (using Super Long Play = 360 minutes of video), it says all the crap was too big!!

I don't understand... all the videos less than 6 hours in length, yet I need to migrate my project to a Dual-Layer DVD. BUT I DON'T HAVE A DL DVD DISK!. So yeah, stupid disk, stupid software, stupid everything!! I even tried to edit my video down where it'll barely fit the disk (the final project was expected to be at 4.36 GB instead of like 5 or 6 GB like the software had been reporting), and guess what?? THE STUPID SOFTWARE won't even write a DVD. It was about to transcode the video files when the POS locks up... then dumps an error message at me an hour later.

I recently bought a DVD writer and I need help on this Super Long Play issue, so you can either fix my problems here or at my blog site (provided you have a Microsoft .NET Passport).
