My dad tought me some basic chords, and a couple songs, and I worked on the fingerings and stuff and got some guitar books, and looked at tabs online. If you practice a lot, you can get pretty good with chord changes in 2-3 months.

My Teacher at my local Music Teacher. Mainly it was my brother, but some of it was my teacher. I'd always just lay back and think of other things while she was teaching. So my brother always taught me. :D

It was pretty hard at first, but I got into it.

Take lessons. but my best recommendation is to join the school band, if they'll take you. Playing witth people way better than me really helped me improve my drumming.

Guitar (Long story):

I was searching through my basement one day looking for some of my old stuff. To my surprise I found a very old and out of tune junior guitar. I thought WOW, I'll learn guitar.. I got my dad to tune it and then I started... I took some ideas from my friend and learned Smoke on the Water and Come AS You Are to start.. It took me a while to make it smooth and flow well.. CAYA is one of my favourite songs today :D.. Then after I could play those songs, I searched on ultimate-guitar for beginner lessons.. I learned to read tabulature then and there.. I was fanatic. I just kept searching for easy songs like Seven Nation Army.. Soon I was playing harder songs like Dammit and Scotty Doesn't Know.. After more weeks of practise I learned to play Sweet Home Alabama and Stairway to Heaven.. I was so happy.. Then I searched for a chord sheet and started learning chords.. I played Boulevard of Broken Dreams with chords nicely.. I was excited... Soon I was making my own songs with chords and lyrics... Then my parents with their appreciation to my guitar skill, they finally decided to get me lessons.. I learned the note names on all the strings.. I am accomplished now IMO and can play Super Mario and Unchained... And now I have a $3000 Takamine semi-acoustic that I love and dear... I have a band now and we are very happy.. And all this started about 2 months ago.. I am very dedicated to guitar... From Smoke On the Water to Super Mario... I can play many other songs and I'm surprised I came from a 10-fret junior guitar XD

My chord changes started getting good after about a month (basics) I still have trouble changing to stuff like B minor though.

The drums rely on beat, I usually have to beat on something to keep my satisfaction.. Even my stomach.. >_>

I learned myself, listening to songs and carefully playing out the drums I suppose.. >_>
Although I can't play them in the apartment which SUCKS.
