Rap is good. It's a form of self-expression to a predefined beat. Saying that "rap is not music" is not only inaccurate, but ignorant. |

Some rap is, but 80% of it is stuff like Ludacris's "Ho"
That's neither music, nor a form of self expression. Some is good, but the majority blows. |

how is this not music? if it has a background and words, it is music. Also rap is good. Rap is all i listen to becuase men with earings in their tounges and black hair down to their shoulders doesnt appeal to me, also yelling into a microphone at the top of ur lungs and screaming "rock on" inst very appealing either. |

Umm, see the thing is, it isn't. That's what you hear on the radio, and what MTV likes to exploit. If you took the time to listen to some underground hip-hop, you'd find that rap is poetry. |

Just as I wouldn't call stereotypes appealing.

I'm saying that is. I'm not saying underground stuff sucks. But nothing by Eminem, or 50 Cent, or any mainstream rappers could ever be considered self expression. |

Why? Because they make the lyrics themselves? Hell, I guess nothing is self expression then. |
