Well, first of all im not surprised its your first. Its paint work :/

But, you can get afew trails of some better programs at www.downloads.com. try searching for adobe photoshop, a great program with much more then copy and paste. Keep trying though, you will eventually get better ^_^

If you do have photoshop, then try other things like brushing, vectoring, different effects, photo manipulation, ect. Or you can follow afew tutorials loacted in our 'Graphics Chat' or at www.good-tutorials.com Keep at it ^_^

Yes, you need to find a way to blend the pictures together. Gradient masking might be a good start, or simply go on google and find some tutorials to get yourself started in photoshop.
