I think being a vegetarian is pointless. People need meat to grow strong and healthy. However, it doesn't bother me when I see a vegetarian. It bothers me when they make fun of me for eating a burger.

That doesn't really matter. Most people aren't vegitarians until they're past eighteen, just guessing. So they're done growing already...

I'm 14. Cona's 14. Nem's 15, I think.

We're not all older. >_>

And on Goldfingerforums.com, we were contacted by an 11 year old that watched John's "Free Me" video and became vegetarian, so..

Point is, meat will help you grow. Enough said.

True. I'm not a vegitarian, I'm just arguing both sides.

You don't need meat in your diet. There are plenty of alternatives. Enough said.

Yeah.. Meat is something that people enjoy, but do not need at any rate.

Here are my thoughts:

If we all had to slaughter our own food a whole lot more of us would be vegan/vegetarian. However, I agree with eating meat. We've done it since forever, and it is healthy for our bodies. I do not beleive in Animal Cruelty, however, and if thats where the source of our food is coming from, yes, we should all cut back on our carnivorous intakes.

Quoted from my philosophy teacher [Not sure about exact wording, and yes I think it was half joking. He was arguing with one of the students who was a vegetarian.]:

Quote:

"Meat is good so I'm not going to stop eating it."

It made us laugh, but really. So many people like eating the stuff, no matter how good it is for the enviroment and everything they probably don't care. Yeah, that made me sound heartless, but there are a lot of people who just don't care about the benefits.

I'm not sure how true this is, but my older sister wanted to become a vegetarian, and my mom advised her not to until she was 18. Meat has protein in it, and maybe it's just me, but my parents like me to eat alot so "I'll grow." [The non-red variety.] There are other foods that you can substitute, but it can be harder to make sure you get everything you need.

My parents are vegitarians. I'm vegitarian only because my digestive system is too weak to handle meat, and my parents never keep any around the house. And I'm not going to make an effort to become a meat eater. What's the point? I enjoy my vegitarian lifestyle. Why change what works, you know?

I don't think we were made to eat meat. If we were, wouldn't we have carnivirous teeth?

We do have caniverous teeth - that's what the canines are for.

I personally hate it when people try to press their beliefs on others. We all have different opinions and that's that.

That's only 4 when lions have all of their teeth sharp.

That's because we also need to eat vegetables. The ideal diet consists of way more vegetables than meat, that's why we only have 4 carnivorous teeth.

I'm not a vegetarian but I wish I could be one. I've tried believe me but meat seems to call me in the end. (Besides I don't think my parents like the idea very much) I think it's cool being a vegetarian 'cause I HATE the though of animals being killed just for us to eat them. Even though I'm not active in this :( I do support other animal protection organizations and all... :haha:

It can get unhealthy to go vegan, even if you get your protein from vegetables like soybeans, it isn't the same.

And we have teeth designed for tearing flesh, so what's to say that other animals can't eat other animals?
