Do you believe that if you do not agree with something, a boycott is an effective means of changing it? And, does today's society have the self-control necessary to even attempt a boycott? |

Dosen't really do anything, unless you're talking about just boycotting, not when people go on strike and talk about it all the time, go to the news, ect. Theen it just gets "cool", and won't have any effect. |

I know I'm a bit dense...but I'm just a tad confused. Are you talking about when a group of people refuse to do something, like for example if a town refused to buy from Wal-mart to protest their production methods, or what dictator was talking about, demonstrations/strikes. |

No. Especially when governments boycott make their teams boycott sporting events. Sport in my opinion is the universal safe ground, it can bring enemies togather. An example of boycotting sport is when Team USA boycotted the 72 (i think) moscow olympics. |

It was 1972... And yeah, guys. I'm talking about refusal to buy products, or to do certain activities. I really don't think that society today has the self-control to coordinate such a thing on a large scale. |

I think we have the self control. Unless there boycotting food or something. Thats not a joke btw, iv seen those igs boycott hardees. Well what if someone supports that but loves the food. Food is a soft spot with people. So yeah, depends what they are boycotting. |

Unless it's some huge amount of people, it changes nothing. |

Most of the time im pretty sure it doesnt make a difference. But if your in super large numbers it could do something. Like when black people stopped riding busses that changed some stuff. |
