I didn't say I resented him I said I resented his opinion. I am therefore not flaming him. Second of all, I am not trying to force my opinions on others I am just critiquing his opinion which may or may not have an opinion-changing effect on him. As for your last comment that is what I am doing so I don't see where your going with that point. They may be rude but it is at least the truth.
Well do it maturely, it helps your credability a lot
Hahaha, maturity is all an opinion. Just because I sometimes sound bitter, which I am not, don't get me wrong I'm a nice guy, doesn't mean I am any less mature. In fact, many people might say I am more mature if I have reasons to justify my 'rude' responses. Don't get maturity confused with niceties.

Rude thoughts are more effective than you may think apparently. Ever seen children after coming out of a boot camp?
I respect the opinions of everyone.

I beg to differ. Rude thoughts are never okay I don't think. Even harshness can be conveyed more effectively than:
"Why do people keep saying this may sound. YOU ARE SELFISH. No, sound to it. You just are."
We are designed to naturally preserve our own lives. It isn't uncommon for someone to value themselves more than others. I mean I bet if a lot of us looked inside ourselves we would see that we hold ourself highly as well as we hold others highly. It is foolish to think that you don't value yourself as well, it is human nautre, not selfishness.

I'm not saying I don't value my life. I don't exactly think I'm a piece of trash. I don't like his opinion but I respect it I just don't like the fact he valaues his own life above others.
It is the truth what I said though. It is selfish. It is selfish when you keep a bar of chocolate with plenty of pieces to share and it is selfish to keep yourself alive to let another die.

It is human nature to value your life against others in moments of peril. Is it "honorable?" I don't really think so, but I don't think it is necessarily selfish. I could see most people preserving their life over another just due to the genetic makeup of humans.
This is a fun debate

By the way, see these are good debates.
