im fully aware of how england went over there... destroyed everything and emposed there own ways... and although ireland speak english its known for them as irish

Well really the language Americans speak is called "American English". The reason for some countries such as Haiti why they speak French is that Napolian came and counquered them and made French an official language and it has been since. It's things like that mostly.

Yeah, and spelt some of the words wrong, like Color and Mommy for example :ermm: And call Jam-Jelly etc :haha:

Irish speak English and Gaelic. Like us Welsh speak English and a few of us speak Welsh (Welsh is mainly spoke in North Wales though).

Koreans do not speak Cantonese. Koreans speak Korean. Cantonese-speaking people originate from Canton, in Southern China. Cantonese is considered a dialect of Chinese.

Besides, the Canadians speak English too. So do the Australians. Why does all of South America speak Spanish? Why don't they speak South American?

If you look at it, America has a lot of words that confuse British (is it true ya'll don't know what Kool aid is? :() so technically the dialect is Americanese :P

Wouldn't the Irish speak Celtic? 0_o
