9-11, the London bombings, most people say these are just warnings for something bigger. But what could be bigger then 9/11? A nuclear attack? A biological/chemical attack? What if Al Quieda has posetion of these weapons, it's only common sense that they will use them on someone, sometime. And what then? How will this all end? Even if we defeat Osama, there are thousands of others who will follow in his place. So what do you make of this? Will this war continue forever? What will happen in the end? Is this the start of the end?

In my opinion, things are looking awfully grim for world peace efforts. So what do we do? As citizens of the free world, what direction do you think things are going in?

I doubt a nuclear attack will come next. My of the suicide bombers come from middle east countrys which lack the funds to build a nuclear weapon. It will take a while for this war to end. I think about 20-30 years. They shot a man 5 times in the head today. They thought he was connected to the bombings.

IMHO, we're doomed. But, maybe I'm wrong, and I hope I am. I think that they should start by trying to get the younger generations of terrorists out before they join. Teach them real moral values, try to get through to them that what their parents and friends are doing something that is completely wrong. I doubt it would work, but that's all I can think of. :/

For every one terrorist we kill or capture, 5 more arise. The war on terrorists cannot be won by plain-out fighting.

I thought that the recent attack was unrelated to the first attack on London?

In any aspect, its stuff like this that motivates to join the army. I mean, I can't just sit here while people are dying out there. And although I agree with Glitch that fighting will not get all of them, I don't know what else we can do at the moment.

The war against terrorists cannot be ended, for like Glitch said, everytime we capture a terrorist, there is always somebody to replace him. I highly doubt they will be using weapons as powerful as chemical or hydrogen bombs atm, but I think it is obvious that one day that will be the final result for mankind.

The had an order to "Shoot them in the head", which is equivalent to a "shoot to kill" order. That doesn't actually mean that they shot him in the head 5 times.

Not that it matters...

I'm not sure what is next but Glitch brings up a good point, one terrorist is catured or killed then more then one are there to replace him, it can't be settled the way there trying to settle it becuase it only angers them more, we hear of peace treaties but we never see them happen, they never go through, next is going to be world war IMO.

The next world war 2 could happen... that is worse then 9/11. If worse comes to worse, I guess I could move to a more peaceful country anyways.

Terrorists will NOT stop hating us, even if we comply with their demands. They hate our way of life, our prosperity. What we need to do is keep trying to find out when and where the next attack will be. It's not a question of if there will be another attack, but when and where. As for the next attacks, they will be conventional. Their goal now is to strike the most fear into us as they can, and disrupt our way of life. This is whats going on in london. They are attempting to disrupt their way of life. And as citicens of the free world, we stay vigilant. We report suspicious activities, we give up a few civil liberties to save our asses.

Well, since those terrorists really won't stop hating us, then that basically means those "few civil liberties" of ours are gone forever. We could live in a ruthless global dictatorship and be completely safe from terrorists. But that's not what we are about.

Benjamin Franklin once said, "They that can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety," and I agree completely.

So your saying in the essence of saftey, you wouldn't allow somoene to serach your backpack when boarding a train or bus? Even if this stops potential bombers from blowing you up? All that would be happening is things equivilant to that of airport screening being extended to trains.

The war will not be over soon with dumbass like Bush (excuse my french) in the whitehouse. Osama is thier main supplier so I don't think any nuclear bombs will be happening in USA soon if he dies. I wish I could kill him myself. but I wouldn't kill him I would Shoot him in the arms take out the bullets and Kick in his face and than take a piss on him. I hate him so much! but why are al queda bombing everywhere? they'll eventually get detroyed in 50 years or so.

No, I'm saying that I don't want the FBI breaking into my house because I went to the library and borrowed a few books on how bombs work.
