Well, I definatly think the next thing you should move onto would be 'brushing'. It's how most people get really awsome looking background for their graphics. Just google up 'brushing tutorials' or something to find out how it's done. Also, you should check out DeviantArt to get your brushes (again, google it).

A simple thing to do to improve all of these peices would be to giev them a 1 pixel black border. It's easy enough to do, simply select the whole layer and 'Stroke' for 2 pixels with the positioning 'Center'. Just makes it looks more professional, and finished.

I could always google it, but I find that people's posts are more helpful sometimes.

www.dafont.com/en is quite the site for fonts. Just browse through them, or click the 'Top 100' for the top rated ones.
