ok 6 hours honestly isn't realistic. You didn't sit in a corner for 6 hours doing homework. Face it you jerked around and it made you take six hours.

I have taken AP classes in 11th grade. I was doing work for 8 hours non-stop with the usual breaks. I took maybe 4 tiny breaks.

Seeing as I'm female, that's somewhat impossible. ^o)

I took my studies very seriously, and my teachers piled on the homework like you wouldn't believe. When you're taking advanced chemistry, physics, calculus, regular maths, English, and geography, you do tend to spend your life behind a desk. On a normal day, I got 3 hours. And on extraordinary days, I sometimes spent 6 hours at it.

He said jerking around, not jerking off. "Jerking around" = "Messing around"

Get your mind out of the gutter. >_>

Exactly. You can't take advanced courses and spend only half an hour on your homework, unless you want to fail. For goodness' sake, just one English assignment would sometimes take me DAYS to finish, because my teacher was such a strict marker.

Sorry, I'm not familiar with North American terminology. I thought "jerking around" and "jerking off" were equivalent to one another. Never mind then!

I'm 13 and am going into year 9, that's english. What's that in america?

^^Ditto, Also, I really do not understand the americain virsion :/

Year 9 as you aliens say it, is 8th grade hear in America.

4=preschool, 5=kidnergarden. 6=1rst grade, 7=2nd grade, 8=3rd grade, 9=4th grade, 10=5th grade, 11=6th grade, 12=7th grade, 13=8th grade, 14=9th grade, 15=10th grade<< me.

Not that hard to understand :/

So I would be in Grade 12.

Do you have a grade 12?

I'm gonna be a freshmen, but at my school, you don't go to high school until ninth grade, so I'm gonna be in ninth grade.

I'm 14.

And yes, Theta. In the US, there is a grade 12.

6-8 hours of work non stop is A) Not healthy B) Not true C) May happen if you don't do that project thats you had two weeks to do but its due the next day D) Uneeded. This is school work keep in mind, not rocket science. I have AP (advance placement class's) class's as well, they are a bit more challenging but if you actually do the homework everyday like your supposed, you'll realise its not alot. and lets take Vulcans example into a real life situation.

Ok vulcan, I'll fit your 8 hours of homework into my schedule. We will assume, for all practical purposes that they are somewhat related.
6:00 AM get ready for school
7:00AM Go to school
7:30 First Hour starts
(keeping in mind this is 11th grade/junior year)2:00PM School ends, and I get home about 2:30 PM.
3:00 PM rolls by, I start my homework up after a nice snack
11:00 PM Comes by and your finally finished your days worth of homework! YES!
11:30 BED
And then a nice rinse and wash with your 5 and a half hours of sleep.

Yea dude, AP class's are there to challenge you, not kill you, I just can't see anything above 2 hours a day happening, its not reasonable nor is it logical.

Even with the six hours, the same arguement applies. You guys aren't really getting that much work. You just make it seem like that, due to the way you work. Daydream a little, you know and so do I, I'm guilty of stretching a 10 minute paper for english into 2 hours as well, but I won't say to anyone for a second that I was up all night finishing english for two hours.

My schedule from last year:

5:30 Get up/shower/dress/eat
6:30 Check homework for any msitakes/Finish up
7:00 Leave for school
7:30-3:10 School / Complete homework during study hall / lunch
6:00 Arrive Home/Dinner
7:00 Resume Homework
12:30 Bed

It was too much for me, so I had to drop out of several top classes this year.
