Well it was 98 se, but then I reinstalled windows and now it's just 98. I try reinstalling the se upgrade, but now my cd driver is screwed for some reason. I should have just dealt with the effects tab not being there. :S |

98 and 98SE always give you that message. I've never seen one that didn't. How are you shutting down your system? |

No, SE does NOT give you that message. I use to have it before I had to reinstall regular Windows 98 because of that stupid Windows 95 font smoother. It would automatically shut down your computer for you. So please, only know what you are talking about if you want to say something. |

Before I had Win XP, I had 98SE. It always gave me that message, and there was no way I found to make it so it does not give me that message. The only way I could figure to make it stop would be to edit the registry. |

If you google for that question you'll get a lot of help actually. The registry controls this action but there are some great programs available to help you out. SafeXP may have this option, but I can't remember. Also, try checking out some 98 Customization programs on google. Good Luck ! |

Hmm... sorry about blowing up in your face. :S Perhaps my aunt changed the registry? It was her computer before she gave it to me. Well I'll try google like you said Horizon. |
