I always get an error related to the files svchost.exe.mdmp and appcompat.txt on my PC running Windows XP Pro SP2 and also another error about the file sysdata.xml (after random restarts).

Can somebody tell me what is the reason for the error and how can I rectify the error.

Can you tell us what the error says? Just "what file it is relating to" does not help.

It'd be much easier to help if you told us what the error was. :/
