Today I had my first game of the football season, also my first game in a real football team. So I'm on the kickoff team and I'm 2nd string wide receiver on Offense and 2nd string cornerback on defense. I'm freakin' cheering on my team, filling up the water bottles, cheering my teamates up, basicly doing everything you can do at the sidelines. And what do I get in return, I don't even ******* play. The whole game, the same wide receivers and cornerbacks were played. That's freakin bull**** because the coach even said he was going to play everybody. I know I never really played on a real football team, but I'm one of the best and fastest people on the team and I should of got in. That's how you learn, you go in, you make mistakes, you fix them, you try again. I'm so ******* pissed right now, I swear if I don't play the next game I'm quitting the team, I join the team to play not to be a freakin waterboy/cheerleader. <_< Who else has this happened to? I know the feeling, the same kind of thing happened to me when I was in basketball. What you have to do is not worry about it, and you definitely shouldn't complain to your coach; that's your worst possible course of action. Just put in that extra effort to get the coach to notice you, and whenever you do get put in, just play your heart out like there's no tomorrow. Show the team what you've got, and you'll be noticed. |

Well I'm a star Wide Receiver on my team but what you have to do is chill it happened to me just be patient even pull out your play book look at it right there on the bench and the coach might notice you it happened to me that's how it started and now look STAR Wide Receiver! Well did you go to the practices?Do you know all of the plays? That might be a reason. |

Yea dude. I haven't missed 1 day of practice to date, and I know all the plays. There's even a guy who missed 2 weeks of practice straight, and he still freakin' played. I'm like WTF!? |

Hey man it's happened to me for 3 years of football. I was riding the bench 5,6, and 7th grade. Now that I'm in 8th grade I pretty much pwn everyone because of my size. You just gotta wait and be patient. The coach will put you in when he sees fit. I was on the A team in 6th grade but got demoted because I missed a game for a Bears game. You just gotta work harder than the other guy in practice. Hit him as hard as you can and be tougher than him. If the coach sees you bustin your ass then you've got it. Just work as hard as you can and you'll get your playing time.

If that's the case, I guess he just plain doesn't like you Nah, if he is seriously doing it on purpose, tell the school to get him fired for discriminating you. |

Only fire a coach if he's losing too many games.
