Bit of a computer problem....

I had no idea where else to ask for help on this, and since I know a lot of IFSkinzone members know tons about computers, I figured I'd have some luck here.

My dad's computer is acting really strange. We put a Windows update on it for every Sunday at 6:00. It happened then, but then after that it was restarting on it's own every 10-15 minutes or so. I fixed that problem, turns out it was the feature that had Windows restart if there was a system failure or corruption. I turned it off. But now, there's an error message that comes up about shutting Windows down otherwise there could be damage to my computer. Something about a Kernel file....I have no clue what it is. The message is white writing on a blue screen, I've never seen this before. It's not like the usual blue error screen. It also says something about new hardware or software that could be causing a problem, but to my knowledge there's nothing in there that's new...So I went to System Restore, and restored the computer to before the Update was set to go off. Now I thought that everything was back to normal and running like it was last week, but the error message popped up again. Another thing in that message said something about disabling shadowing and cacheing in BIOS or something, and another part said something about needing Windows Updates to fix a problem..I downloaded the latest possible Win Update from Microsoft.com, but still didn't fix the problem......I've never ever seen this stuff before and I need help. THis message comes up every 10 minutes or so roughly (sometimes every 25 minutes, give or take a few) and it's very annoying, as it basically freezes the computer so you have to restart it.

I'm at a total loss here, I've done just about everything that I was figuring may be causing the problem.

Please please please help!!! Thanks A TON in advance!!!

Search the exact error message in Google.

Usually works for me. :)

First it was with webbrowsers, now with operating systems? *sigh* :(

Anyways, as stated before, look for the error messages on the Microsoft website and via Google to get results. This could lead you to fix your problem.

That doesn't help at all, and is not an excuse to shove your opinion down others throats.

And yeah, Do what Theta said.

Seems that your operating system has become corrupted. Happens a lot with Windows. ;)

Could you take a screenshot of your error message?

Well, it's sorta inconvenient cuz it's happening on my other computer.

But I have the exact message here:

KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR

Technical Info:

*** STOP: 0x00000077 (0xc000000E, 0xc000000E, 0x00000000, 0x06514000)

Did you actually read it?

It has some information on how to solve your problem.

Or your other option is to re-format.

I've done Chkdsk. I've turned cacheing off in the BIOS. I haven't recently installed hardware......I've scanned for viruses and found one, but the problem still occurred after deleting the bad file.

I am totally at a loss.

Bad sector/hard disk corrupted.

What now?

At least I've pinpointed the problem....I looked in the Event Viewer and analyzed the drive in the defragmenter. Keeps saying it's corrupt/has bad sectors.
