i have an old Windows 98 and i was wondering if anyone has had these problems or knows how to fix them: keyboard/mouse doesn't work, i have successfully connected them both to our new computer and they both work fine (i think they don't work because the ports are messed up or have dirt in them or something) i've took the entire chassis apart to clean the dirt out of it with a can of compressd air and thats when the ports suddenly stopped working, they were fine before the cleaning, so anyone know how to solve this... ps. i've taken some parts out and put them back in (after i cleaned them) so could i have put them back in wrong? i did this all awhile ago, probably about 2 years ago

ps. the monitor works fine... go figure

What kind of connectors does your mouse/keyboard have? USB, serial, PS/2? It makes a difference...

And what does the monitor have to do with this?
