Well, I jsut got a cell, and I was wondering. Is there any good sites that will give out free ringtones and not send you random text messages?

If you have Verizon, you can make your own. Other than that, I cannot say if there are really any free ringtone sites, as I have looked many times.

Depending on your phone, you can get a program and cable to make ringtones on your computer and tranfer them to your cell. Other than that, you have to pay for ringtones. Waste of money both ways, IMO

I have Verizon and I've just bought my ringtones. I tried recording a couple, but it sounds terrible. Once I even recorded it on the computer, and it sounded great. Then I e-mailed it to my phone, and it sounded terrible. :rolleyes:

I just use vibrate. The pre-installed ones are atrocious and I would surely commit suicide if it ever rang in public.

I have great ones from Boost/Nextel/Sprint. And they're only a few cents each.

and as a shamless plug, you should all really be buying all cell plans for verizon, sprint, nextal, t-mobile, and cingular through my mall online. saves 18% on base rate + free phones.

</selfpromo>

ringtones, we don't have. you'd probably be best makin your own if you have an ear for songs...
