my first programming language was Fortran. shudder a bit at that. I moved to C++ afterword. I'll probably be teaching a C class next year at Graduate School, so don't feel alone when it comes to new-ness.

I would check out How to Think Like a Computer Scientist - Learning with Python. Python is a great language to start with.

ive been learnin a bit of C but its just to
hard and i cant be bothered.
ive decided i dont want to write programs,
ive went back to building websites for people
because html is easy.

I would check out How to Think Like a Computer Scientist - Learning with Python. Python is a great language to start with.

However, soem of it's syntax is rather odd, as it was built as a text manipulator (or whateevr they're called), as opposed to written to program.

HTML isn't really a computer program language. It's a Markup Language (hence the ML at the end). You proabably wouldn't be able to do much work with a computer with HTML.

I might consider going to other language. I already have some knowledge of PHP, which is very similar to C-based languages.
