For me I just hold delete over the item. Like double click the search bar on Google and it should bring up the full list, make sure the first is selected and just click delete til they are gone.

That works for me ^_^

That's the only way I know of to do it in Internet Explorer, which is what you have.

Why would you have any need to get rid of it unless you were to say, hiding something? Maybe a website that may have been typed into the browser by the miniature elves that dwell in the keyboards.

Well, somewhere I turned off some sort of Javascript option and it went away.

In Firefox go to:

Tools >> Options >> Select 'Privacy' >> Click on the '+' next to 'Saved Form Information' >> Hit Clear >> Uncheck 'Save information I enter into webpage bars and search bars.'


And done. Never should come back, unless you want it to.
