Hey everyone, I have some question on IF boards. 1. I read in forumer that if your has been inactive or has no post with in 30 days in automatically gets deleted. Is it the same here? 2. Are the shops up as a feature yet? 3. Again in ratemymullet.com, if you have adul or obscene things on your board, your board get automatically deleted. Is it the same here? 4. Do you get short urls of your board? |

1. Depends on what If Support forums has it set too. I believe it is around 90 or maybe 60. I'm unsure. 2. It should be coming in Version 2.0 around this summer. Word of the wise, never making topics on when the shop is coming out, it angers staff greatly. 3. Yes, if it is against the Terms of Service it will be deleted without warning. 4. The url at most is: http://s6.invisionfree.com/NAMEOFBOARDHERE. You can always get it shortened but I believe IF doesn't provide that. |

Yeah, it is hidden away in the copyright. But I just realized something for question 1. Do you mean this board or any Invisionfree board? Because with any IF board, you can make the limit to whatever you want. I should have made that clearer. |

For question 1, Luna you're thinking of the topic cut off dates. The posts remain but are only visible if you change the view to the last 60-90 days and so on. Chiana was asking if we delete your board if it isn't active in a certain period of time. The answer to that is no. IF will never delete a board for lack of activity. Other free hosts like f orume close your board if you aren't active in a month. So feel free to take your month long breaks and be assured your board will still be here. ~Brian |

Thanks Brian, I read in a guide I think on ratemymullet.com that they do delete after 30 days of inactivity and I was wondering if ts the same here. Butits great to know IF doesnt do that, I think that one of the things that make IF great and the people here are very friendly and helpful. I like Invasion free alot and still thinking of a good subject everyone would like. |

I just wanted to clear a couple things up. As far as your board getting deleted due to obscene things being posted, that's not necessarily the case. In fact, in the majority of situations, the admin would get at least one warning before any action was taken. It would depend on whether it was the admin posting it or other members, as well as any prior history of violations, etc. I believe there's a list of short url sites around here somewhere that you can use to redirect to your forum. Personally, I would recommend .tk (dot.tk). If somebody could post a link to the list, that would be great. I can't seem to find it. :$ And if you're confused about why the urls you've given are showing up as ratemymullet.com instead of what you typed, it's because some site addresses are filtered as if they were swear words on this forum, usually because people had come here and spammed us with advertising for those sites or something. |

Oh right, what was I thinking? >_<
Alright, it's just all these people making topics about their board getting deleted without warning seems to be confusing me then. |

1. No, we do not delete boards just because they have become inactive. 2. There is one being made by Tom, the creator of IBShop. 3. Yes. 4. You can use third party short URLs and we plan to offer several built in in the near future. |

Have these question been asked before? Because if I may add, if these questions erent asked before Its good to learn now, since I've asked. Some poeple may have been wondering about these wuestions. Thanks everyone for answering my questions. Im learning great things of IF and if I may add I think IF is a whole lot better than forumer. I havent made a site in Forumer but reading the guide and rules can make an admin of their own board worry whether they loose their board, its great to know in IF you dont have worries. As far as obsiene or adult material, I do like being part of a board that doesnt really have those sort of things. Those things should be in closed doors. Thanks again for answering my questions. |

Almost every question imaginable has been asked here at least once. ![]() And those have been fairly often, but there isn't any glaringly obvious place to find the answers without asking so.. You can find some of the info in the TOS or main invisionfree.com website itself, and the rest can probably be found in the forums in one place or another. And now a question for you! Rather off-topic, but your questions seem answered and all, and I'm too lazy to pm you at the moment, so.. Who's the cutie in your avatar pic? :$ She seems familiar, but I can't place her. >_< |
