I just created a board and started creating fourms. I don't know what the Permission Masks thing is. It comes at the end of the page every time you create a fourm. Can somebody give me a full guide on how to use it? Thank you! - Patchi Forest |

Permession mask allows you to choose who you want to see the forums. So when creating them click on Admin, and Members, and those will b e the only one to see the forums. Now if you would like guest to see click on read, because if you click all of them guest will be able to post without registering |

Oh thank you! That really helped a lot. But...I don't know what the Start one does. EDIT: I don't know what the Upload does either. Does it mean uploading images...? Edited by Patchi Forest, Jun 6 2008, 08:43 PM.

Thank you! You guys helped a lot! EDIT: Okay...just one more question, please? How do you link stuff, like the banner using the < and > tags? Plus, how do you get rid of the Free Image Hosting image under my banner? - Patchi Forest Edited by Patchi Forest, Jun 6 2008, 09:35 PM.

The HTML code for an image is as follows:
Replace the Image URL as needed. In ACP>Images, top box, the code will most likely be something like this:
It could be slightly different than my example. The only part you need is the image tag I showed you in my first example. Just take everything else out. |
