Is it ok to put <div class='reply'>Reply</div> in Images, and then to put .reply { text-align: center; width:8%; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11px; color: #009900; background-color:#ebf5e2; border-top: 2px solid #ededed; border-left: 2px solid #ededed; border-right: 2px solid #bbbbbb; border-bottom: 2px solid #7a7a7a; padding: 2px 3px 2px 2px; } in Manage Style Sheets? Or is there a better way of doing this when i don't want to upload an image for poll edit delete etc ? If div is ok in images is there any way i can have hover and what would i put in the css? Thanks for any help, i've never done this before.

I would suggest using <span class='reply'>. A div, unless you know a lot of CSS, makes a new line and can be tricky. Also, you can change the link by doing this:

Yes div added lines, so i've made it <span class='reply'> as you suggested which is heaps better for me, thanks Sdom Wercs i don't know what this is.. .reply a { whatever CSS here } :$ I have this in the style sheet: .newtopic, .newpoll, .reply { text-align: center; width:12%; font-size: 11px; font-weight: bold; color: #009900; background-color:#cadeb9; border-top: 2px solid #ededed; border-left: 2px solid #ededed; border-right: 2px solid #bbbbbb; border-bottom: 2px solid #7a7a7a; padding: 2px 3px 2px 2px; } and just adding .newtopic, .newpoll, .reply a:hover { above CSS here with different hex } didn't work. I don't know what i am doing wrong with hover? Edited by Nada, Jul 18 2008, 10:37 AM.

That was just an example. You must add filling to it.
Where the red is, change that to the hex color you want the link hover font to be. Where the blue is, change that to the text decoration you want. Also, ".reply a" is the normal link CSS thing. |

This is what i put in the css: .newtopic, .newpoll, .reply a:hover { text-align: center; width:8%; font-weight: bold; font-size: 11px; color: #330000; background-color:#ebf5e2; border-top: 2px solid #7a7a7a; border-left: 2px solid #bbbbbb; border-right: 2px solid #ededed; border-bottom: 2px solid #ededed; padding: 2px 3px 2px 2px } I apologise for not knowing how to explain the following very well. What it did was to completely change the colour so that it's the only colour for newtopic newpoll reply. It remains permanently in the hover colour |

If you have a link class in the CSS that's like ".newtopic, .newpoll, .reply a", you will have a seperate color. You can do the same for regular text as well and have two different text colors. First, you will need a class like this so that you have your normal link color:
If you want to distinguish between links that have been clicked on and ones that haven't, then try this: (Note: This section is optional, but recommended if you are making a link class on a dark background versus the lighter background default one, or vice versa.)
Then, if you want a link to have a hover when you drag your mouse over the link, then add this in:
Underlined text indicates areas that are the editable areas in each entry of the CSS. If you need help with editing your CSS, feel free to PM me your CSS code and I'll make the edits for you. Edited by Billamen, Jul 20 2008, 01:07 AM.
