You still sound seriously boring. We don't rely on alcohol to have fun, it's just another way of having fun.
Thanks for that.
Isn't it almost flaming?

I'm not boring, you're just proving you don't know me.

That's the sort of thing you read in the Guardian, one of the plainest newspapers in the world that condemns just about anything that raises the pulse rate.

He's having his opinion?

I think having Alcohol is small amounts isn't going to harm your body at all. It's only bad for you when you chuck so much down your neck you become, incapacitated. XD

I would say although some scientists are going to say there are health benefits, there are always going to be other views which contradict this. If you drink in moderation once every say.. week, or few weeks, then I would guess it would be much better than drinking every day. (If you really have to drink, anyway).

Oh, and I'm not against drinking, just choose not to. :arr:

Different newspapers have different social standpoints. I don't see it as appropiate to call the Guardian 'plain' just because it's centre left. Because I could easy say the right wing newspapers are just a bunch of angry old men that want to insult the government, but again, that would be a false presumption on the whole. Mock the Week did a good cover of all the newspapers making fun of pretty much every one, we all have our different views but I don't think that's a reason to knock someone who doesn't agree with you.

Sayf Udeen is a Muslim and as far as I am aware, drinking is forbidden which is why he probably doesn't drink and by the sounds of it he doesn't desire to either so that's just the way it's going to be. Alcohol can be bad, it can be fun and it can be good depending on what stance you take.

 Here's a suggestion, try not to look too deeply into things.

I haven't actually heard anything about consumption as far as beer. I've heard a glass of red wine daily is good for health. However, I don't think you should be drinking ANY alcohol at the age of 15. :/

The Times: CRICKET! CRICKET! CRICKEEET! ... Brilliant show. :P

Nivexonix: It's the way of life nowadays. If it's against the law, there are going to be the minority who try to be rebel against it. :P

I love drinking. To be honest I'm not a big fan of the taste. I guess I love getting drunk? It's not an everyday thing. Maybe, if I'm lucky, I get drunk once a month.

I went to a party on my birthday (26th) and got pretty drunk. It had been about 1 1/2 months since the last time.
(Other substances included)

One little glass a day won't do you harm. One little glass an hour...that will. I'm 13 years old, and probably once or twice a month when I'm at a really fancy party like a wedding reception or something, I have one glass. That's all for me. I tried beer once, and I hated it. I'd rather drink wine than beer.

Because it's fun? Just like people risk their lives to get thrills from skydiving, driving over the speed limit, etc. People like you must lead such boring lives if you abide by every legal, moral and ethical rule and and live on the medical 'advice' you get from the media. If it was left up to you we'd all live on a plain, flat field with nothing else in it except a crane to support you so you don't fall over and graze your knee.

Also, I'm cutting out those articles from your post and leaving the links. No need to copy and paste three whole articles like that.
No, we'd be living for the moment rather than relying on mind altering substances to have fun.
Sorry, I'd rather not comsume something that kills someone every 31 minutes.
This includes people who haven't even had a drop of it, being killed by the actions of other(s) [read: idiots] who decide to operate a vehicle after fact.

Also thanks for cutting the articles due to your personal consensus and not based on the forum rules in the least. :)
Some would say drinking alcoholic beverages is also living for the moment as well. Different people have different ways of having fun.

Alcohol reaches it's true health helping potential once you blackout. So why don't you just go ahead and do that once or twice a day and see where it takes you.

You shouldn't be buying alcohol under the age of 18, but you are allowed to drink it in the space of your own home from practically any age.

@Menindrag, it is easy to get hold of Alcohol at 16, why do I say this, because one of my younger friends has done it, many times.

The law does need to be enforced more.

I think cracking down on the surge in knife crime is a little more important. Police do regular checks on off licenses but there's only so much they can do, really.
