I don't like add-ons. I like my toolbar to have as little on it as possible, thus giving me more space to view what page I am viewing.

I don't like add-ons. I like my toolbar to have as little on it as possible, thus giving me more space to view what page I am viewing.
Of the add-ons that I have, one of them adds an extra toolbar. And you can always turn the toolbar off if you don't want to see it, or surf in fullscreen mode.

The appearance of an add-on depends greatly on the functionality it provides. ChatZilla (an IRC client) presents as an entirely separate window; you activate it through an option in your Tools menu (I've added an icon next to my Home icon in order to access it quickly). Many addons have icons on the status bar at the bottom. These are even more unobtrusive than a toolbar while still allowing use of their primary functionality (i.e., ColorZilla has an eyedropper in the bottom left corner that lets me grab colours when I need them).

I am set in my ways. Once I am set, there is no going back :r

Wow, I love FireFox. Some ad-bot just posted on my forum a site link. I tried going to it, but FF said that it was reported an attack site! THANKS MOZILLA!

One of the best things about Firefox's add-ons is that if you don't like something about the default Firefox, then chances are someone has made an add-on to tweak it. The various tab-option-extenders come to mind. Firefox 3's new location bar (the Awesome Bar) has also gotten mixed reactions--I admit that it took some getting used to, but now I rather like it. But for those who don't like it, there is an add-on that reverts the location bar to its old hotness. La diversité, vis!

ive noticed my page loading has gotten slow ..and the underlying cause was too many add-ons and icons on toolbar..after click view/tool bars then customize, i was able to drag down unused icons and buttons..now its alright. handy that toolbar custom menu!..
