I felt it yesterday! I live rather close to where the epicenter was. My house was a mess when I got home from work. Most of my food jars in the pantry fell over and broke, pictures were all askew, almost every drawer/door opened up, and a few other things were all messed up. Plus a lot of my stuffed animals fell onto the floor, poor things :{ This was definitely the biggest earthquake I've ever lived through...Northridge was bigger, but since I live farther from there, it didn't feel as bad. Ah, well, that is California for you D; |

The quake wasn't too big from where I'm at, but it was a good rumble we had. Only lasted 2 and a half seconds though. I had just clocked into work. I think for most of us it really wasn't a big deal though. Most of the people I work with have grown up out here in California so it is no big deal. I had have one customer though who I believe said she was from Missouri or somewhere in the midwest where they don't get quakes. She said this was her first quake and she was all shaken up, but it was kind of funny. =P |

I live in Canada we don't get many if at all any here. And I was watching on the news shows such as Judge Judy, and Oprah were filming when it happened. Funniest thing ever is Judy just stays there then jumps up, and one of the people who is getting convicted just stays there, http://www.youtube.com/v/OGcEqjgjo0o&hl=en&fs=1&color1=0xe1600f&color2=0xfebd01 Edited by .yunoko, Jul 31 2008, 03:09 AM.

We had one here in the UK not long ago, i slept through it though. I imagine it was only a wee one, since we never really get them at all. |

Lisbon is going to get a massive earthquake soon, too. I rather not to think about it because since we live near the sea we will most likely be swallowed by huge waves.. just like happened 300 years ago.

Apparently, there are some weak earthquakes in my area every so often. I've never felt one, but people who live near me have. It's very strange. |

I was in the really random one that hit North of Britain this year. I was watching the TV and the whole house started shaking (Its low-quality made) I had no idea what was going on at first, we don't really get earthquakes here. |
