I was mesing around to see if I could change ownership of my board to another person, So I followed some support talk from here that said to move myself into the members area and let the other person assume my place, This doesnt work as we found out, because she isnt the root admin.

Now I need to be put back to my status and no one can do that because they are not the root admin, which is me LOL.
How can I get this fixed.

Please help me.
If there is a way to change ownership of the board and take me off completely please tell us how.

Thank you
mamap

If you're Member #1, you should still be able to log into Admin CP.

You can't change board ownership unless you actually give that account to another person.

There is no Aadmin cp on my board for me nor in my profile and yes I am admin#1 I made the board, Once I registered for it.

How do I give the board to someone? Can I delete admin #1?
Or does the board go away to?
Does the person who takes over for me need to assumn my profile or what?

If I could get to mt admin CP, I would have used the suppport ticket since it was that that I followed the directions and ended up like this.

Thanks, This actually is funny. If it wasnt a hassle.

Use the link I gave you.

Member #1 is unique per board and cannot be deleted. It also has constant Admin CP access and the ability to delete the board or change the board name/URL. Only Member #1 account can edit itself.

If you want to give the board ownership to someone, you need to give this account to that person. Do this only if you really want to give board ownership, not when you just want another admin. Follow these steps:

1) Create a new account for yourself, because unless you're permanently leaving for sure, you will need your own account after giving the Member #1 account. Place it in the ROOT admin group, unless you want to do otherwise (sometimes people place their accounts elsewhere because they retired from administrating).

2) Announce to your board that you're giving the specified person your Member #1 account and that the board ownership will transfer to the person. Although the person using the Member #1 account will be different, the account itself will still be the same account, so announcing this change is recommended to help avoid confusion. Specify your new account also, so that other people will know who is using which account.

3) Go to your Member #1 account profile using My Controls or edit it in Admin CP. From there, take out e-mail address, messenger contacts, and anything else that you don't want remaining when another person has control of the account. This step is recommended if you have any personal information. You can reinsert these things to your new account.

4) Tell the person that is receiving the Member #1 account the password of the account. It's a good idea to first change the password to something you will only use for this purpose. Give the password using a secure method (probably PMing the person). That person will log into your account with this password, and then change the password for security.
