Does anyone know how long it usually takes InvisionFree to respond to someone filling in the Report Abuse form and Support Tickets?

It just depends. Maybe an hour or two. Support is actually faster when it comes to support queries.

Thanks bk2070.
I filled in the Report Abuse form over two weeks ago but have had no reply yet. I think others may have reported the same thing though.

Quantum-locked when observed.

We ordinarily do not reply to abuse reports unless we require further information from the report sender.

Ah, that would explain it. Thank you Ben.

Ben, may I ask, would two weeks be long enough for InvisionFree to have looked into a Report Abuse case? I appreciate how many emails and reports InvisionFree must get and that the time taken to sort through them all must vary but my members' posts are being copied and pasted to another InvisionFree forum to be ridiculed (as are posts from other local forums). If there is nothing InvisonFree can do to stop this the only thing I can do is make my forum private which is something I'd rather not do.

I believe that reports are handled in batches. I suppose that you should make your forums private after all, or passworded, perhaps.

Thank you cvn-tv-dip, perhaps it hasn't been looked at yet then.
I believe making my forum private would harm it in the long run, who would want to join a forum that couldn't be read first to see what it is all about? Besides, my forum is a local forum on which information that may help non members is sometimes posted. It would be unfair to my members and to the guests to make it private when we aren't the ones breaking the Terms Of Service.

Funny story: I was about to reply to this topic last night when all of a sudden an earwig crawled across my computer screen and I had no choice but to retreat into my bed room. True story, feel free to laugh and mock me via PM. Back on topic...

Currently the management team here at InvisionFree (Brian and Brandon) take care of all the reports that are sent in. As you can imagine, we get many reports, so it takes quite a while for them to take care of them all. Brian is currently working on reformatting this area of InvisionFree to allow reports to be handled more smoothly, thus improving the time it will take to complete the report. Additionally, the InvisionFree Staff will soon be helping out with the processing bit, allowing management to take even quicker action.

In this case, probably not. Reports are looked at in no specific order so the time it will take to complete the report you sent in would be quite random. Things will run a lot more smoothly once the refined system is ready to go.

Any other questions? ^_^
