Hi there. Since I am not familiar with domain.com's setup, can you try logging in to your account and telling me the kind of options you see available to you? Do you see anything that resembles "DNS Control" or "DNS Management"? Something like that. If you can find that, take a screenshot of what that particular page looks like. We should be able to provide more detailed instructions once we can see how they're set up.

Can you click "Manage" next to DNS Management at the bottom under "Other Services" and take one last screenshot of that particular page? |

I'm kind of knowledgeable in tis subject, so I'll try to help. Nameservers are what provides DNS control, or something like that. They are not needed (don't change them) when setting up a subdomain. What you need to do it set up something called a CName record on the subdomain you want (on forum.example.com, the 'forum' subdomain would have this CName record) that point to z#.invisionfree.com. The '#' gets replaced by the server number of your board. Then, when you go to it, I think it should have a white page that says, "This domain is not set up for a Zetaboards board". I think that means you did it right. If so, go to the domain manager of the ACP. If it was done right, you can enter the domain as 'forum.example.com' (or whatever yours is) and it should work. Remember, the admin CP is always the same (z#.invisionfree.com/yourboard/admin.php) if your board doesn't work with the new subdomain. I hope this helps

Im trying to set it up so that my site is www.maxmodders.com my boards name is http://z10.invisionfree.com/Gamer_Cheats/index.php? it says that The domain you have entered does not appear to point to this server at this time. The domain should point to z10.invisionfree.com with a CNAME record. |

Just to expand on the post Papeh made, even if you're pointing your whole domain to your board (And not a Subdomain), you don't need to touch the Name Servers. MoN: Follow the steps Papeh gave you, except instead of choosing forum, simply enter the @ symbol. On most domain providers that should work. |

That is from the Invisionfree ACP. What you do is set up the cname record from maxmodders.com to point to z10.invisionfree.com (leave out your board name). I do not know how to do it on that registar, but it should be under DNS control or Total DNS management, or something, like Jonathan said. Do the thing in the admin CP of your board that you just did AFTER the CName is set up. Good luck ![]() EDIT: Yeah, follow Jonathans instructions I guess. I have never personally set up a domain on IF/ZB for the main domain (no subdomain) Edited by Papeh, Sep 10 2008, 08:01 PM.
