Have I used up all my disk space or what?

Posted Image

Because I wanted to install an old Adobe Photoshop disk. :ermm:
That is how much space is left on the CD, You want to look at the Hard Disk Drive section, your C drive has 28.7 GBs free as the picture shows.

but what about the "clear data" add on for FF3? i clear data including cookies every week..as well as manuelly delete stuff in recycle bin..my comp should be running at peak performance..though i see small pockets of slowness in page loading on some days..
Then there is other random stuff like compressed files and stuff which Disk Cleanup deletes. I was saying that the only two sets of files where one would notice deletion is cookies and the recycle bin.

Clearing data from FF3 also helps as the disk cleanup doesn't delete all internet files.

For defragmentation, I wouldn't use the built in Windows tool. Third party is the way to go for this IMO. I use Defraggler. Although the Auslogics utilities explained above are also good tools to use.

I never use the built in windows defragger .... too slow & not the best @ defragmenting!

I usually use JKDefrag .. light on system resources, fast, runs as in background, + you can easily run it from a usb pen drive

don't run the full program with its optimizing steps very frequently - a bit less than once a month -- but do run the file defrag ONLY part every week or so especially if I've installed a big app ---- anything more frequent than that is pointless & I've only reformatted the HD in a PC once in 4.5 years as the factory settings made windows run slow ....
