So it's been confirmed that Tobey Maguire has signed up to don the red and blue suit in two more Spider-Man movies, to be shot back-to-back. What are everybodies thoughts on this? I'm personally glad, I'm really looking forward to seeing some new villains on the big screen, I just hope the writers/directors have learnt from the mistakes they made with the third. What villains do people want to see in the fourth (and fifth if you're thinking far ahead  )?

I'm glad to hear the Spider-man series is returning. As for villians, I would like to see the Shocker. I assume Harry Osborne must have an important role in the fourth movie based on the ending of the third and if he returns as a villain, perhaps the hobgoblin. |

Nope, no villains have been announced yet. I would love to see the Lizard, and I think Carnage would be a really cool villain to have in the movies too. So far, there haven't really been any hard-core killers in the SM movies. All of the villains have just had issues that probably could have been resolved with a therapist. Carnage is actually a serial killer before bonding with the symbiote, so that would make for a really interesting character.

If they don't have Doc Connors turn into the Lizard in one of them it would be a complete waste of having him involved at all in the other movies. That being said, I really don't care. I was a fan of Spider-Man 2, but the other two were just mediocre, IMO. I really don't like how they had a total of 3 villains in the last movie. I loved the 90's cartoon show and the set-up of those shows usually had one villain that Peter Parker had to deal with along with some kind of personal problem, and that's the way the movies should be. |

Lizard for fourth since that's how the third left off and fifth movie to be rated R with some awesome carnage from Carnage. As long as it's better than the third, it'll be a must see for me. If it comes anywhere near as good as the second, or even the first, I'll be more than happy they continued. Edited by Fraust, Sep 21 2008, 08:29 PM.

As others do, I'd love to see Shocker or the Lizard in one of them. Carnage would be a great addition as well, but they'd definitely need to make it a rated R film to involve him...that is unless they water him down, which would suck. |

2 was bad, 3 was boring and rushed. Hopefully 4 won't be as bad. Spiderman has the best villains. Come on Carnage!! |

Well I am not getting my hopes up sense the last one was supposed to be huge and yet it was a disappointment They should not be such a kid movie like when SpiderMan was Evil and instead of causing real trouble he was dancing around acting cool I wanna see Carnage,Mysterio and maybe Hob Goblin |

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Okay, death wails apart, it really sucks they are making another one. I really like Spidey, but I don't like any of the movies. The way they portray him isn't what he's like. I mean, where are the jokes? The jokes!
