I'm in the market for getting new ones. I really hate my old ones, and they were dying on me anyway. Anyone know of the best kind, that will last long, sound good, and feel good in your ear? I'm thinking the default iPod ones.

Available in many colors. I've used them and they're absolutely incredible. Comfortable, loud, clear, don't fall out, and very durable. Just feeling them you could tell they will last long. Mine broke, but not because of music or anything, but rather I had the wires hanging out of my pocket and something tugged on it as I was walking fast. I plan on getting another pair. I'd say they're a lot better than iPod headphones in durability, comfortability and clarity.

Absaloutely seconded. I exclusively use these headphones (abeit in white), because they're simply brilliant. Decently priced (£6, were £5. i don't understand the point in paying more than that for headphones unless you want to waste money), good sound quality and they just last for so damned long. I'm only on my third pair for this year which should last quite a while yet, and i brought the first pair around last november. And considering the amount of crap they take (use them daily for computer and mp3 player, and fall asleep wearing them), and that i used to usually go through a pair of headphones every 3 weeks or so, they're just brilliant.

I agree. Those feel weird being jammed into my ears. x_x Unfortunately I only have the default headphones so...

I had this style for a while and I really liked them. They're very similar to the other cheap ones posted. I ended up selling them with my old MP3 player and now I use some free ones that my mom got, but if I were to actually buy another pair it would be those again.

I know a lot of people don't like this style but I love them. Almost noise canceling, good bass, good sound. and for $15 its a good deal.

I like this style: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=4503923&st=Sony+Dynamic+Stero+Headphones&lp=3&type=product&cp=1&id=1051806135345

Unless you are on the go. Long cord and I mean really long and comfy. Also cancels outer noise well.

I love the Skullcandy ones too, but the pair I got with my Sony Ericsson phone are better, its just to bad that they only work with the phone.

Headphones for your computer or for your iPod? I recently found out you can plug any set of headphones into a computer. I use the ones that came with my CD player. :P

Seriously? Nearly everything uses a standard 3.5mm jack unless you're dealing with extremely large amps or recording equipment

Unless something she uses has a 2.5mm jack. My cell phone has a 2.5 so I had to get special headphones to make them work. But mostly everything produced as a music player other than cell phones turned into music players has a 3.5mm jack...
