Hey guys,

As you are all aware, Service Pack 3 has been released and has been out for a while now.

Unfortunately, I can't install it though, because I have an OEM PC, which is pre-configured for an Intel processor.

So I searched the net for some and I found this: http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/TechnicalResources/0,,30_182_871_2336,00.html

But I have no clue which one to go for....

Can anyone help please?

Cheers
Roi

The first option makes the most sense, BUT do not take my word for it.

Yeah, I thought so too, and that's also what Microsoft support told me to do. But seeing as they released something which messed up my computer, I didn't really take much notice of the advice which they gave me.

So I carried on snooping around the net for any solutions and came across this:
http://msinfluentials.com/blogs/jesper/archive/2008/05/07/does-your-amd-based-computer-boot-after-installing-xp-sp3.aspx

I basically followed his instructions, about using the recovery console to disable the Intel driver, and everything went back to normal.
