Has anyone tested the new beta version of WLM? It's looking really nice this far, but since it's beta it still has bugs: http://messengersays.spaces.live.com/ If you want to download it, you can do so here: http://download.live.com/messenger |

From the pictures I Googled, it looks good. The skinning is more advanced.

Yeah, I hate the bugs they have right now, but it still looks really good once you get used to the new interface, and they'll fix it for sure ![]() Edit: By the way, most of Google images you find are fake. Look at the images and videos on the first page I posted

I haven't tried out this version, but I am really hoping that it is better than the current version. I'm running Vista and I've had a lot of problems with getting it to run without resetting the connection. For some reason, it also slows down my internet connection and utterly stops it when the connection resets and it tries to re-connect.

Did that only happen the first time you opened, or does it happen every time you open it? Every single version of msn has done that to my machine the first time I open it, since it has to load all my information from the server for the first time. However, it only happens the first time I open it. |

it does it every time, and then every one of my contacts that is online when I log on pops up as if they just logged on and then the list doesn't always update automatically unless I search for someone then click the little x xD |

I find Windows Live Messenger to be a huge pain. I simply cannot stand it unless I use A-Patch. Shame I have to go out of my way to make a program better. :-/ |

Judging by the screenshots, this new version looks fantastic; although I doubt I'll be downloading it just yet. I'd rather the full and final version come out, and then download it. After all, my current version of Windows Live Messenger isn't broken.

I downloaded this some time ago and besides a few bugs (e.g. webcam not working) it's an improvement. I mainly like the new look.
