With any hope, yes, they will...

Because if they don't I don't care what I have to do to get it, I'm on a plane to Europe. I am not going to stand living here if we go through 4 more years of crap. Not that I ever liked this country to begin with.

My grandpa still has house in India in case anything happens, so we are secure.

Unless of course the fall of the economy stops air travel...

Everyone here treats McCain as if he is another Bush. I am sorry to say it (actually, happy to say it), but he is not Bush. He is a federalist - which is the complete opposite of Bush, the socialist. He wants to make our federal government smaller which would then decrease taxes, not increase like Obama.

If we went back to a completely constitutional federal government, like I have said before, that would decrease taxes to a mere $40 billion a year. That's about $100 a person a year. It really is suppose to be up to the states to create taxes and take care of the states and their people, not the central government.

You're right, he's only 90% Bush.

The hell makes you think this country can run on 40 billion a year?

I've got actors from Grey's Anatomy calling me here in NC promoting Obama.

Also, an interesting article on the tax proposals of the two candidates - http://money.cnn.com/2008/10/24/magazines/fortune/tully_henrys.fortune/index.htm

Easy. A constitutional government would mean that all the government would need to do is provide protection (the military and police) and some basic pay-roll jobs. At this point, the federal government is NOT constitutional and therefore pays for much more than it is constitutionally allowed.

Well if Obama is out, they can just stick Hillary in. Do they really want to do that? Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned ;)

And it is far too little too late. He'll be president.
I'm pretty sure it's way past the deadline for adding someone to the ballot.

Also, on this education thing. The government provides subsidized loans to students. Taxpayers should not be on the hook for paying for college education.

Seriously? Are they only down in Charlotte, or are they coming to the triangle?

I feel like it is everyday that Obama comes to our state. I think I have only heard of McCain coming to our red state once. Because of this huge difference of how much campaigning is happening in our state, our state is turning blue no matter what.

As a side note: has Charlotte been bombarded with those Kay Haagan ads and crap? They are so freakin' annoying!

If you make over $250,000/year and you "feel middle-class" that means you're living beyond your means and trying to be more rich than you are. I know people who are making less than $100,000/year, are saving for a really comfortable retirement, and have done what they need to put multiple children through college at the same time. And they're doing just fine.

All I'm reading is a bunch of damn whining. These people need to learn how to spend their money and stop squandering it away, if they really feel that badly.

I know it is your opinion and all that other fecal matter BUT if you don't like this country that bad then MOOOOOOVEEE!! Stop ruining it for the rest of us that like it the way (well it does need improvements) it is.

I don't understand you people at all. Instead of trying to change everything why not go to another country that offers it. Like you said Europe or Canada. Jeeze......

nevermind lol

I usually flip on Jeopardy during dinner, and usually it's local ads or car dealerships. The last couple of weeks it's been exclusively, and I really mean exclusively (ie. not a single ad for anything else), political ads. Wasteful walter dalton, kay hagan, bev purdue, roy cooper, pat mcrory, elizabeth dole, 10 different judges, as well as the obligatory obama and mccain ads.

Only 1 week left. :)

Btw, it was just a recording of an actor calling to promote Obama. Didn't listen to anything past the intro as I'm not forming my opinion based on a phone message.
