I don't know whether this is a bug or not, but I Firefox keeps closing down and offering me an error message to send... this is getting really annoying because it's happened about 4 times yesterday, so until it's fixed or w/e, I'm using Anyone else had this problem? No. 1. Reinstall Firefox. 2. Did you install any additions to Firefox? 3. Check to see how much memory you are using while Firefox is running. 4. Check Event Viewer for any other clues. EDIT: Just a side note as well. If reinstalling FF doesn't work. Uninstall again and delete the FF profile folders. Then reinstall. This makes it a complete and true reinstall. 1. A renistall shouldn't cause you to lose anything as it only reinstalls the program files not the application data, but to be safe you can back up all of your data. Just search Google on how to do it. There's likely plenty of tutorials. 2. Good. 3. You can download System Explorer or you can right click My Computer and go to Properties. There it will tell you the amount of memory in your PC under the General tab. Then open Task Manager (CTRL+ALT+DELETE) and go to the performance tab. If PF usage is above your amount of system memory, chances are you'll need some more. 4. Start > Run... > "eventvwr" > OK |

Troubleshooting PC problems which aren't constant are never fun. As soon as you think it's fixed, you're back to square one. ![]() Did you look in event viewer at all? The errors for Firefox will probably fall under the application tab. How is your memory? |

Happens every now and again with me, normally I get the option to restart with the same tabs and Word [5] though so it's not too bad. |

You could download firefox 3.1 beta (1?), that has a session tab (now, after the browser crashes), that lets you select the site from the previous session, see what crashes the browser. That should also disable alot (probably most/all) of the extensions as well. |

What version do you use? Also, are you using the newer Yahoo! mail system? (It's not really new.. but its the newer model) A while back I had tons of crashes from using that version of the mail system. Edited by Chris, Oct 18 2008, 09:27 PM.
